Had an awesome time at the Hail Holy Queen Youth Retreat at St. Gregory’s in Shawnee, OK! It was great seeing so many faith-filled teens! Special hello to my home parish youth group of Epiphany who was there for the retreat also! (who I am with in the picture) Glad I got to see you guys! It was really an amazing experience and so happy to have been a part of it! And always remember, “God knows you better than you know yourself!”

Merry Christmas everyone! I just want to say thank you for letting me be a part of so many Christmas parties this holiday season! I just love singing Christmas music and it was fun to share with you and be a part of your celebrations and I can’t forget the wonderful food too! My husband especially thanks you for that! There are some talented bakers in the area!! Peace and joy to you all – parish groups of Epiphany, St. Ann’s, St. John’s, and Sacred Heart! Thanks again!

In Branson! Got to get in a little vacation and visit my producer, Dave Smith while in Branson, Missouri! Dave’s working with Lee Greenwood and we had an awesome time backstage at the Lawrence Welk theatre!

30th Anniversary Celebration

What an absolutely blessed event! Words cannot describe being a part of such a beautiful event to honor the life of Fr. Stanley Rother after his murder thirty years ago. His family, as well as, many other special guests came to celebrate his life in a wonderful dinner and presentation in his honor. Fr. Sam, parish priest of Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Okarche, OK put on the event. In the picture, Fr. Sam is reading a statement issued from the state of Oklahoma meriting Fr. Rother’s life and actions as heroic. Fr. Sam also served as the evening’s emcee – and he has quite the voice too! A singing voice that is – fabulous! Pictures are of myself with Fr. Sam, with Sr. Marita Rother and Tom Rother (Fr. Stan’s sister and brother) and me singing “The Shepherd Cannot Run”. Please remember to continue to pray for Fr. Rother’s canonization.

What a great time Saturday! Sacred Heart Catholic Books & Gifts in downtown Edmond, hosted an album signing for me yesterday. It was lots of fun and I sure enjoyed meeting everyone who came! A special Thank you to the Catholic Daughters of the Americas, Court Salve Regina #847, of Sacred Heart Church in El Reno, Oklahoma! What a fabulous evening! I so enjoyed singing and sharing the song for Fr. Rother. My husband is still talking about the fantastic food! It all looked soooooo delicious - wish I could eat before I sing!! Ha! Thank you again for having me as part of your celebration. Thank you also to guests of honor Fr. Mark Mason and Deacon Lloyd Menz.

Precious Child

In May, I was asked to sing the song, “Precious Child” for Integris Baptist Medical Center’s Spring Memorial Service. This undoubtedly was something I eagerly said “yes” to while also being one of the hardest things to sing for. This beautiful event is sponsored by Integris Health Women’s Center for members of families who have lost a child. The theme of the memorial this year was a seashell and I wanted to share the following from the Center for Loss and Bereavement:

What is it we can learn through this journey of grief? Like the chambers of a shell we move, into different places and spaces…Searching for answers, looking for strength to live in the unknown, Seeking hope as we reach for peace.

I feel very blessed to have been a part of something so moving. I know and feel that these special babies are forever loved and always remembered.

Recent Singing Events

Since I don’t have a calendar listing on this website, I thought I would mention just a few of the places where I where I have recently performed. St. Stephen’s Ministry in Yukon, was the first group that I sang the “Shepherd” song for – that will always be a special memory for me! Also in Yukon was at St. John Nepomuk Catholic Church for the group, Paula’s Daughters. What a great time with so many women who have known me since I was a little girl! I also had a wonderful time meeting the fabulous ladies of Concordia Life Care and Spanish Cove Retirement Center. I sang at their luncheons honoring them for Mother’s Day. I also got to partake in the food feast in Okarche, when I sang at Holy Trinity’s annual Red Wagon Dinner! Just wanted to say “thank you” again to everyone for the support, fun, food, and singing!
